It's official-Anthony Davis is on the trading block (again). New Orleans is now listening to offers.

so the rumors have it we're trying to move into the top ten, specifically, Phoenix's pick at 6. The deal will probably have Dinwiddie involved and i'm not a fan, but if we move top ten, which means we're probably trying to get DeAndre Hunter. I approve.

Even if the Nets don't move up, Rui Hachimura should be around, and i would be ecstatic if he landed on the Nets

If the Melo trade was any indication, which this trade will absolutely parallel. Its going to take at least 4 players and 3 maybe 4 total picks to get a Davis trade done.

Though i really wish he would stay so i can see what Davis and Williamson would do. Though i understand he wouldn't want to be part of a rebuild...but damn that's 2 generational talents on a single team. Get the right guys around them and there's a conversation to be had about titles, especially if the Warriors dismantle themselves.

Thank you Toronto.

Sorry Steph, still had a career high 47 points and lost!

You know exactly how LeBron felt last year when he had a career high 50+ on the road and still lost devastatingly.

What else can you do when you don't have that super team talent to help you out?

Alright, good, the Raptors did what they were supposed to do. Now, if they win Friday night, I'll be really impressed. I think Klay Thompson will play that game, but Kevin Durant playing? I'll believe it when I see it. I think Golden State is just fucking with us all - especially the Raptors - by dangling the possibility of KD playing.

Turns out that old white dude who shoved Kyle Lowry is a "part owner" of the Golden State Warriors. As of right now, the guy, Mark Stevens, is "not permitted" to attend NBA games, per the league.

Kawhi Leonard MVP! MVP! with 36 points and 12 rebounds!

Goodbye Warriors, goodbye Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, I won't EVER miss you for all the dirty bullshit you've done the past 5 seasons!

Good luck trying to win 2 straight in Jurassic Park who's had the best home record all postseason.

Shut them bandwagons up!

Wow, it's over Monday night. Raptors are firing on all cylinders and the Warriors are just exhausted and hurt. I just hope the Raptors aren't going to wear those awful ^ NORTH uniforms that remind me of Swiss Army knives in their first-ever NBA Finals-clinching game.

^ The Raptors should still win the series. The Warriors are banged up and as I suspected Durant got hurt cuz he came back too soon. If he didn't tear his calf a month ago, he definitely tore it tonight. Depending on how serious the injury he won't get a ton of money in free agency. Might end up back in Golden State on a one year deal.

Wow, what a choke job by the Raptors.

The BIG question: Kawhi and the Raptors were on a killer run, up by 6. After another Warriors' missed shot and rebound by the Raptors, Nick Nurse inexplicably calls a timeout with 3:05 left. In the moment, I didn't understand-why give the Warriors a breather when they're getting hit by an avalanche?! (By the way, Golden State only had 1 timeout left at this point.) It turned out that timeout KILLED all that momentum the Raptors had.

Friends -

Thought the Warriors showed the heart of a champion the other night when they nutted up at the end to win Game 5 in Toronto. They were really runnin' on empty and they still found a way.

We'll see what they've got left tonight.

With Klay Thompson knocked out of action after the third quarter and how sloppy both teams played in the 4th quarter, I was ready for this series to be over.

So, just over 25 years after Joe Carter's walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series, the city of Toronto finally gets to celebrate a world championship team again. Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors and the city of Toronto...not to mention the rest of Canada.

Friends -

I didn't get home until there was just over five minutes left in the game. And I saw the Warriors out there playing without Thompson. I still don't know what happened with him so I assume he must have gotten hurt somewhere. I knew that wasn't gonna be good. Still they made a run at it at the end. Props to the Raptors, they deserve to win. They're a good squad.

With KD rupturing his achilles in game 5 and Klay Thompson having a devastating ACL injury after game 6, it looks like the Warriors dynasty might officially be over, as they are moving into a new stadium AND with the free agency/salary cap issues they'll have to deal with. Even if KD and Klay were to both stay (which probably won't happen) they wouldn't be able to return until halfway through the season in the 2020 calendar, so the Warriors may still make the playoffs but probably as a lower seed between 5-8, and they'll be lucky to get back to the WCF. If LeBron stays healthy without any injury (like that groin that killed the Lakers this year), the Lakers will be strong if they have a good off season, and what if Kawhi goes to the Clippers? I don't know, but I think someone else is going to sneak out of the west no matter what happens. After the Heat's dynasty ended and Kawhi beat them with the Spurs, the Heat missed the playoffs the following season but that's because LeBron left. The Warriors will still have enough firepower to make the playoffs but they won't be the same at all.

^ I agree with you, although I think the Warriors will be lucky if they finish 7th or 8th. Idt KD will return to the Warriors, even if he does he will miss all of next season. If Klay Thompson resigns he won't be back until at least March. It will be interesting to see how much money each guy gets considering they both have very significant injuries.

^^ and I almost forgot another huge factor, Iguodala will be 36 and has gotten old, past his prime. Livingston is getting old too. Looney and Cook will be free agents too. Basically they are breaking apart as the core team we knew them to be since 2015. On top of all of this, other teams in the west are getting better as I already brought up the possibility of the Lakers and Clippers getting better, but you can't forget the Trail Blazers and the Nuggets. All of them will be in the way of a depleted Warriors team, and even when the Warriors had KD healthy until the Rockets and Klay healthy until the finals, they were showing signs of decline, their playoff run this year was no where near as good as their 2017 or 2018 dominate runs.

OK, so King James gets what he wants. But still a lot of questions:

1) Can Davis stay healthy?

2) Can James stay healthy?

3) Worst case scenario, what if both of them are out for stretches of time?

4) Who's their supporting cast?

5) Did they give away their future with all those draft picks? NO now has the #1 and #4 pick next week!

6) Davis is still a free agent in 2020. What happens if he gets disgruntled in LA?

7) Can Davis withstand the pressure of being in the LA market?

Regarding questions 1 and 2, I wouldn't be too concerned about either guy sustaining serious injury; sure, AD has an injury history and Lebron got that groin tear as a Christmas present last season, but it's not like either guy is Joel Embiid-level fragile. To #3, yeah, they would obviously suck if both guys were out. #4 is the most important question, how many decent 3-point shooters will they be able to get to fill out Lebron's supporting cast? To #5, 1st-round draft picks don't really matter if you're finishing with one of the top records in the league year after year. As for the possibility of AD being "disgruntled" in LA (question #6), that won't happen-this is EXACTLY what him and his agent, Rich Paul, wanted. And AD feeling the pressure in LA? Nah, as long as Lebron's there, Lebron will be the one taking the most heat (when they lose), not to mention receiving the most praise (when they win).

It was a pleasure watching the Lakers dysfunction for the past 7 years or so, but I hate to say it...the Lakers are now back.

Not quite everyone...I think it's good for the Lakers that they didn't have to give up Kyle Kuzma, too. He's proving to be a good shooter and unlike the two key guys the Lakers gave away (Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram), he's not injury-prone.

By the way, just as you'd expect, LaVar Ball responded to his son being traded:

Oh, and I almost forgot, there's still new coach Frank Vogel who I expounded on who 1) now has an even tougher job than he did two days ago and 2) probably won't still be in LA by the time of the All-Star Break so I guess it doesn't matter anyway...

I found this piece of paper in Kawhi's locker and it reads:

My things to do:

(1) Win the Larry O'B trophy - Check!

(2) Win the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP trophy - Check!

(3) Re-sign

(4) Repeat

James, no. But Davis?? He's not Embiid-level -- its been a bunch of little things here and there -- but you get the feeling that he's like Californa and Earthquakes, just a matter of time before The Big One hits. (hm. Irony!)
I'll wait until he actually signs a contract with the Lakers to believe that. (see also; Irving, Kyrie)

Don't get me wrong, Davis in his prime is a trade you make 100 times out of a 100, it's just that the city of LA should would wait before planning routes for the ticker tape parade.
