After 7 long years of WWE PG bullshit, The Great One returned to RAW last night and cut the most electrifying 20 minute promo of the last decade, putting all the current WWE roster jabronis to shame and brought back great memories of the WWF Attitude Era.
To all the youngsters out there, take notes.....

Great to have the Brahma Bull back!!!

I caught some of that too, though I didn't get the part about Cena as I'm not a regular viewer so has he turned heel or something? Anyway The Rock kicked ass and does put most of if not all of the current guys to shame on the mike. I miss Stone Cold too, he was another one that could just work it and deliver a promo perfectly. I missed Lawler screaming out Cheap Pop!!

^ Bono, would have been great to see Good Ol' JR screaming "Its the Rock!!!"
Man I miss those days! But the last 20 minutes of RAW last night were the best since he left 7 years ago.

There are alot of roody-poos on the current WWE roster that need to head over to the corner of Know Your Role Boulevard and Jabroni Drive and check their candy asses directly into the Smackdown Hotel.....and the Rock doesn't give a monkey's nutsack about the WWE censors either. As good ol' JR would say "Things are about to pick up folks!"

I fully agree! It did feel like the Attitude Era again and The Rock put the other wrestlers (more specifically, John Cena and The Miz) to shame.

he's said in interviews many times that he has no interest in ever wrestling again. Don't get your hopes up that just because he's on an ep of Raw or will host Wrestlemania or whatever means that he's gonna come back full time and ever wrestle again. He's been very adamant over the years about never wanting to wrestle again. Don't expect the old Rock to ever come back and be in WWE again. He's stated many times since he left that he has no interest in coming back and being a wrestler. Maybe Vince offered him an obscene amount of money or something, but this seems to be the annual Wrestlemania build up that they always have by bringing in big names and celebrities. I wouldn't expect much more than him cutting a promo here and there.

^ I doubt he'll get back into the ring much. Might drop the Rock Bottom and/or People's Elbow on someone but thats about it. His basket is in the movie market now anyway.

now if only the REAL ECW came back....sigh.

That may be true, however; its a long time to Wrestlemania and he'll put in an appearance or two and during those appearances some sort of atrocitie will happen that will make him put on the tights and climb back into the squared circle.

^ The Rock's "This Is Your Life" was a great RAW moment. Loved it when he tells his old high school coach, to shine that whistle up realllllll nice, turn it sides, and stick it straight up his candy ass!!!!
Great to have the Rock back, should add alot to the monotony the way the WWE has been going the last few years.

matchmaker,
that Lilian segment is still hillarious.....everytime I see her I immediately think about this segment with the Rock. BTW, she loves the people's strudel!!!
TUP,
I love that moment from RAW back in the day. Jericho's Y2J WWF debut was awesome!!! It was also made even better because he happened to debut in the middle of a Rock segment.
Another favorite Rock/Jericho moment of mine.....
My favorite quote from the Rock: "So whether it's you Chris Jericho, Chris Jericho's Daddy, Chris Jericho's Momma, Uncle Joe Jericho with the glass eye, or maybe even Grandpa Jimmy Jack Jericho with the iron lung"!!!
I am laughing my ass off even 12 years later!

Vince had competition back then and Jim Ross was WWE's Head Of Talent Relations. Vince doesn't care anymore and John Cena is proof of that.

True dat. Lack of competition really hurt pro wrestling in my opinion. With no competition, Vinnie Mac doesn't have to work as hard (and it shows regularly). Nope, not the same as it used to be.
I still watch, but it's not the same. I actually find indy wrestling more entertaining at times. Man, It was awesome back then though: Nitro, Raw, ECW, The NWO, DX, etc, etc. I was a HUGE wrestling fan. Not so much anymore.

U know I really can't stand Michael Cole. McMahon needs to get rid of his ass and bring back anybody else. Anybody else! I mean I miss the likes of Jim Ross, Gorilla Monsoon, Jesse Ventura and even McMahon himself calling the matches.
Hell I'd even trade Cole for this throwback guy:

grover,
Truth be told, I only ocassionally watch the WWE stuff.....and only when I know an Old School era wrester is appearing (either from the WWF 80's and early 90's and/or WWF Attitude Era).
I've been trying to watch TNA but its hard because it feels to me like a poor man's WCW. I understand that there needs to be competition in Pro Wrestling. But Dixie Carter and the brass there need to put out a product so innovative that it puts the heat on McMahon to change the WWE brand to an edgier product. Its just so bland to me right now. Hopefully, it'll change with the Rock back.
We need a new Pro Wrestling monday night war right now.

The Attitude Era was the best! Austin, Rock, etc! I'll even say Vin-Man, where he would get involve in the story line!
The problem with TNA, I believe, is that non-existent of storylines. Too few for too many wrestlers! One show per week! To me, and no offense to Dixie Carter, who I think is smokin' hot BTW, TNA is like a retirement home for professional wrestlers! Look at who they have on their roster - Hogan, Flair, Steiner, etc! But alas, those were the guys I grew up watching. Tells you how old I am, eh? So, I do watch Impact!

I agree, GG Girl! With the TNA Knockouts, there is more wrestling with them. Much more so than the WWE Divas. I guess the Divas are more like eye and arm candy rather than wrestlers.
