I've got to him a pass since English is clearly not his first language.

^ I give everyone a pass. That's why I never post the name of who did it. But it's still funny.

From an opera review in the LA Times: "Tenor Brian Downen was sympathetic as the doctor who provides a hopeful anecdote to Beatriz's poisoned blood ... "
Well, if it's a humorous anecdote -- after all, they say laughter is the best medicine. But, I'd rather take my chances with an antidote.

I think a non native shouldn't put anything here and especially when written by some native , though I found this too good to just leave it there to rot , so I'm contributing this once
I believe it's hang
given the board his use of hand is open to various interpretations or misinterpretations

The other night there were two nutty things in the closed captioning. Unfortunately I can't remember the funnier one.
But the other was something about "Barnes enable."

For years, I thought it was Almond Brothers.

Well Almond Joys would have given them a great name to commercialize almost any candy
Edit
This isn't a misuse of English , this is is a misuse of Latin , unless I'm mistaken even in English per se (by itself) should be written as such
Is it so?

^ It's definitely incorrect, but it's a very common mistake because people don't realize it's Latin, and they think "how would I spell this in English?"

This is actually from an episode of All creatures, so it was scripted, but some guy says that he was charged an absorbent price for something.

Okay, another closed captioning thing.
Jon Stewart says, "Obamacare can suck Paula Deen's d*k."
Closed captioning renders it as, "Obamacare can suck pollen bee's (bleep)."

From the rapidly deteriorating FSC/HIV thread:
I wonder if those six [sic] graders also get taught the difference between "tenants" and "tenets"?
(It's a granite rerun, I know.)

This one may have been a bad spell check. A person was hired for a limited job and it was over. The boss sent a letter that said he "rejected" to inform him rather than he "regretted" to inform him.

Today in Star Crossed: "not a big fan of the breaded hair"
He meant "braided" of course, but just the thought of eating breaded hair had me giggling for a few seconds there.

Saw someone on twitter talking about eating "filet minion" (mignon).
I immediately pictured someone chowing down on those little yellow guys from Despicable Me. I laughed.

In Porn Pool this morning: "Just in general, if you aren't using words people understand it makes your point mute. Which is why words have definitions."
(moot)
Hilarious since the poster is trying to school someone on how important it is to use the correct word.

A local TV news story had a graphic showing a witness' name and his part in the story:
Joe Schmoe
Lives Next Store
(is there really someone who doesn't know it's "next door"?)

a few years ago a story showed a pic of Prince Charles with the caption "Prince of Whales"

Okay, I know this is really minor and more than a little petty of me, but when I read the following in the Porn Pool:
"Which Pornstars cause you to masterbate the most,"
I wanted to answer: "I get really hot over women who know how to spell masturbate."
