^^ Correct.

"light emitted by the Sun is actually white, which is a composite of all the visible frequencies of light"

"looks yellow ... because .... earth’s atmosphere scatters away light in the blue, indigo and violet wavelength region, while higher wavelength colors, like red, orange and yellow are less easily scattered"

"When ... viewed from space, it appears perfectly white, as the light emitted from the Sun is not scattered by Earth’s atmosphere"

^^ Did you know in some cultures when whales beaches on the shore, instead of pouring water on them and trying to get them back to see, the locals will just eat them?

^ Umm... I've made a policy of not checking answers before I give them, so again, according to my last week's pub trivia, it is not China.

An internet search suggests that there's a bit of a disagreement over where chess was invented. It seems to be a minority position, but at least China is in contention. Still, like I said, your game, your rules.

^ As per the thread title, I try to ask only interesting questions - and don't look up the answer first as if I'm not correct it might create a little discussion - and that is most interesting: at that trivia I actually said China, and that was not the answer given.

I'm skipping forward as it's been 3 days without confirmation whether my last guess was correct or not...

Mandarin
Spanish
Hindi
Arabic
Portuguese

I'm sure there's an obvious one I've missed but I'm fairly confident it's not French or Russian.

^^ It is a medical term for the big toe, so hallux is in the foot.
Follow up question: What is the medical term for the thumb?

^ It is not Sweden. Question is still open.
