My Country: United Kingdom, London

My favourite Stores are

Erodvd- The Netherlands

Last Order 2005

Average Shipping Time: 3 days from The Netherlands to the UK

They have free shipping and carry a vast selection of stock. Discs are sent in a custom friendly manner without cases. Aline is always quick to reply to e-mails.

Only complaint is that they don't do back order titles and at the moment the Euro versus £ isn't too good at the moment.

Adult DVD Box-office: Canada

Last order late 2004

Average Shipping Time: 5-8 days from Canada to UK

Again they have free worldwide shipping plus they have a massive selection of titles to choise from.

A couple of downsides is that they can take a while to stock NEW RELEASES also back order titles can take a while.

They have also changed their shipping route so the country of origin now states as Canada and not an EU country as they did before so be careful if your disc totals £18 or more as you will be hit by customs. They do only ship one disc per package.

Adult DVD Now: Untied States

Average Shipping: 2-3 day UPS Express

If you are in a hurry for your DVDs then these are the best.

The £/$ rate is very good at the moment so $18 is about £9.

This supplier is best when you want say 4 or 5 dvds at once. Its best to upgrade to the UPS shipping. Discs are sent without cases and is sent in a customs friendly package.

Feal free to e-mail me with any questions.

Ok...

MY COUNTRY : England UK
FAVOURITE STORE :
AVG SHIPPING TIME : Various options, the cheapest method was $6.99 + $1.25per item & it took 15 days. 7/10
Customer Service : Very Quick reply, great 10/10
Selection : Very Large, found all the titles I was after 10/10
Stock : Even if out of stock, items usually back in stock with 2 days, again great 10/10
Customs : No problems, Arrived un-openned & Sealed. 10/10
Price* : average $10 - $15* per DVD, some newer ones are more expensive though. 9/10*
Other : Also sell CDs and non-porno films too. Discreet shipping & Billing. Even DVDs shipped in have a customers sticker stating "Audio CDs" - helpful to get through customs! 10/10

* I got billed VAT at 17.5% on import, I also got £4 fee for some "royal mail clearence fee" and £2 from absolutely nowhere which I should be refunded. In total I got 5 DVDs for £63 . Despite these fees this order was cheaper than it would have been from AdultDVDtoday and many other stores.

Is there a similar site to ADULTDVDTALK, that deals with European titles and stars?

Country: United Kingdom
Shipping Method: Global Priority Express Envelope.

Favorite Online Store: AdultDVDToday.
Comments: I've only ordered one adult DVD in my life (so far) and it was from AdultDVDToday. Needless to say, even if I buy from other companies in the future, AdultDVDToday will no doubt remain one of my absolute favorite stores to order from. I placed my DVD order (Special 2 Disc Edition of 'Ass Worship 8' on the 26th of Sept.) My order was approved the same day. My order was also shipped the SAME day. I received the package (untouched by customs, with a very 'helpful' package value declaration, this morning.) Therefore, it got to me - from Hawaii - in 4 days. That, in my opinion, is impressive! :)

fredrikka,

There are many adult chat sites on the internet smartbuydisc.rus, but very few seem to post info on non USA based sites so it makes a pleasant change to read info here about European companies.

I have purchased from several USA and european based internet sites in the past but the best one I have used to date is indeed european based, with no spam, no pop-ups, pop-unders, re-directs, telephone scams, etc...

Having been there and done it, and I guess a lot of other members are on here to source the best and most genuine sites from the cr*p on the internet.

Good luck to everyone looking...

I don't agree with this at all. A few months ago I bought an adult DVD box set from the US and customs seized it. I never got it back. I contacted the retailer and they said Canadian customs was very inconsistent, sometimes seizing porn and other times letting it slide through.

The order had other items (not adult) and I did receive those after paying customs charges.

Just to clarify: Orgazmik does not require to register with a credit card to pay by Paypal. Paypal probably does but I guess this depends on country. To my knowledge you can also fill up your Paypal account through wire transfer.

What are AdultCDMovies and Jaded like? I've not heard much, if any feedback about them and I was interested in a couple of titles they've got.

Hey there, I live in Sweden and I've ordered from jaded a couple of times. It's not overly cheap, that goes for dvd's as well as shipping. And there aren't really many options for shipping. On the plus side they carry a massive amount of titles and they're fairly reliable. Still the biggest reason I've ordered fom them before is that I haven't had a all-region dvd-player and they carry a lot of stuff on vhs.
I don't know if I'd recommend it but as i said they're pretty reliable and you usually recieve your products within 10-14 days.

JadedVideo: One niggle I've got about them is that they refuse flatly to post the sleeves with the disk and cases when shipping abroad, and that's despite my request to have the sleeve sent. Beats me why?

What's Adult Video Universe like? I've seen a few small reviews here, but I would like more input before making my first order with them.

Adultvideouniverse are ok but only sent dvds with cases and always declare full customs value. In the UK your limit is £18.00. Go over this and you will face a delay and a customs charge and a Royal mail handling fee.

The boxes mean your package will be bulky making it more liable to be checked by customs and 'possibly' a more tempting target for postal theft.

Never tried Jaded....but Adultcdmovies are reliable. Only problem is they usually order stock in, so it may be a week or more before your order is actually posted.

Much like FiveStar then. They too, or at least when I last ordered from them, insisted on putting the full value of the order on the package too.
Hm, yeah, theft is a possibility, although it's never happened to me yet. *touch wood* As for customs opening the package, that would only happen if customs stopped and charged the package. Even then they don't have the power to confiscate the disks, if that's what you mean?

Hi Guys & Gals,
Thought I'd pass on some comments regarding some shady practices on excaliburfilms.com and its sister bid4dvds.com
Here's a copy of the reply I sent to their Customer Service dept. after they took days to respond to my query. It was regarding why my CC statement was showing a discrepancy of $35 to the total amount on the original order I submitted (around $140).

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I have to say I'm a little annoyed in the ambiguity in the pricing of your Shipping and Global Insurance.
I elaborate:

1.Shipping to UK – see:
On your website you state a package of 4 titles costs $6.50 USD plus $1.60 per DVD which I interpret as $6.50 for the first 4 titles and an additional $1.60 for each title afterwards.
And NOT $6.50 (which you should state is a handling fee) plus $1.60 for EACH disc.
On the ORDER FORM I submitted to you there is only a total charge of $6.50 for the shipping of 4 titles – I have just checked this fact by compiling an order on your website.

2.Global Insurance – see:
$2.00 per item is what I would interpret as each title and not each disc in a title.
Again checking my Dummy order I find the ORDER FORM only states a total Insurance charge of $8.00 for 4 items (which included a multiple disc title pack).

3.Invoice Total – the Total shown on the ORDER FORM the customer submits is not what the customer pays.
Can you inform them before the order is shipped of the actual amount due? Your confirmation emails are also pretty vague at specifying this total amount.
Technically this is fraud as you are claiming for more money than what is originally stated on the ORDER FORM submitted by the customer.

Whilst your headline prices at excaliburfilms.com and bid4dvds.com look great, stinging the customer with all these additional charges is not really fair.
I hope you take these comments on board and perhaps use them to develop your service by offering more clarity for customers.
I wish you well in your enterprise but I regretfully will be terminating any future business dealings. I feel there are plenty of other traders out there offering a far better service.
These comments will also be posted on the AdultDVDTalk smartbuydisc.ru.
Regards,
Mike[i/]

As I have no feasible way of getting this money back I would instead use my experience to make you all wary.
I have used them prior to this but the orders had been smaller so there was no need for the insurance then and most titles were single discs.
As I mentioned, their prices appeared good but the delivery was slow as they only used USPS regular Airmail and would only send the DVDs in the original packs. I had one small order go AWOL because of this - sorry no insurance that time either!!
Hope that helps.
Mike

Sent an order from UK to AdultDVDToday for three DVDs. The order arrived in 1 week sent by Global Priority (20 USD stated value). They sent the jewel case for one of the DVDs (a special) which was unnecessary and could have attracted the attention of HMC. It didn't. I've always found this a good mail order business and will use them again.

Just received two DVDs from AdultDVDToday. Took eight days to get to Australia, sent by Global Priority.

Unfortunately, one of the discs is flawed. The end of the third and beginning of the fourth scenes freeze and scatter. Is it worth contacting them and asking for a replacement?

Just to say that AdultDVDToday provided a new disc immediately. Well, it took a week to get here, no surprise, but that's as immediate as I could hope for. The replacement works fine, and their help was polite and prompt. Props to AdultDVDToday; I'll keep shopping with them.

(My apologies to AdultDVDToday for taking so long to post this. I was hospitalised for most of a month, which I'd say is a fair excuse.)

...and also a vote of confidence for AdultVideoUniverse

I ordered three DVDs and a Private multipack from them. Quick shipping, well packaged (with cases), but one of the movies gave me "Incorrect Disc Format" when I tried to play it. I contacted them, they suggested it might be a region thing, I made sure my DVD player is appropriately compatible and tried the disc in another multi-compatible player, still no luck, told them, they immediately said "Okay, we'll send another copy". Kewl.

Isn't it about time for another update of dealers? I mean, the last one was over a year ago. Since then both FiveStar and LasersEdge have moved on.

I agree with Mojo some updates need to be made to the information regarding price of postage. I was buying from UK and European sites and they were very expensive and one or two managed to convince me that ordering from america was a bad idea but I decided to give it a go and bought a DVD from adultdvdnow. the product was dispatched with in one day and I received the product in ten days and had no problems with customs this was in september 2007.
the next time I bought some DVDs from the US was a month later and I got them from adultdvdempire because they have a bigger selection, they gave me a starter coupon which covered my delivery cost and you have the option USPS mail that allows you to order up to 20 discs for a flat rate of $15 but the cases do not come with the discs. The only problem with adultdvdempire is if you are an international customer you have to go through a credit card verification process and i have never had to do that before.

I've usually found AdultDVDToday very good. They do ship very quickly and the packages also turn up very quickly as well. I did receive a faulty disc from them which they said they would replace when they got more stock back in but it never materialised.
Also there are a few titles I would like to get but they don't list. I emailed them to see if they could get them but never got a reply.

Just a little question: Is AdultDVDNow (as well as AdultDVDBoxOffice) still best for Germany? I haven't ordered for some time, so I'm wondering. They also seem to have some new shipping options. Do they all work for Germany?

RE: AdultDVDEmpire
After dealing with Empire for nearly two years now, I'm very sad to say that I will no longer be doing any more business with them as I received some seriously crappy service from them and some lip to go with it from their customer service rep!
It goes like this: I placed an order for 2 DVD titles and asked for the cases NOT to be sent (include artwork only) using the cheapest international air mail method: $10.50
So what did they do? They upgraded my order to Flat Rate International ($15.00) WITHOUT asking me first (geez, I do have email, y'know!) -- they said that they can only ship titles without cases using the more expensive method -- I find this nonsensical and totally unacceptable!
I always have my orders shipped without cases as this tends to avoid having my orders delayed by Australian Customs inspections and I also find it gets to me quicker... but I would have opted for having the cases shipped just to save the lousy $4.50... but I was never asked. I'm just not impressed at being diddled this way.
It's ridiculous: how could it cost MORE to have the orders shipped WITHOUT cases?? I don't get it at all. Needless to say, I did not get a refund for the shipping snafu. grrrrr...
Anyway, they made out like it was my fault for not making myself clear when placing the order - that is total BS, of course. I think that Empire's customer service has slipped a lot and they no longer give a stuff.
Which leads me onto my next beef: Empire charges a minimum $10.50 shipping and handling charges for orders shipped to Australia (even for orders of 1 or 2 discs) -- this is a blatant rip-off and amounts to daylight robbery, as far as I am concerned.
AdultDVDToday charges me $2.95 for the first disc and $3.95 for two. They give awesome service and I can't praise them enough!! Orders arrive in real good time, too, generally takes 7-9 days... just brilliant!
I mean, what gives with Empire's shipping & handling scam??
$10.50 for one lousy disc (and I didn't even want the cases shipped to me)???

PS: for me (I in Australia), AdultCDMovies (and their various incarnations) have always provided AWESOME service.
The only minor beef I have is that the customer cannot access a real-time online inventory check (like you can with Excalibur) so this means that you can place an order but not now which titles they currently have in stock. So you have to get around this by asking them to 'ship complete'. Cuz each different shipment to Oz (up to 6 discs) costs around $9.00!!
PPS: tried out GlobalFlix for the first time recently and they were excellent. Very competitive prices. Delivery was a little slow though.

Sending without cases to bring it through customs is clearly an extra service. The packing is also more time-consuming this way for the seller. For me it's logical that it can be more expansive this way.
4.50 $ is probably a bit too much, though.

It is clearly not an extra service.
The discs and artwork are placed in a bubble mailer envelope with a bit of cardboard backing for added protection.
Empire used to do this for free. Excalibur still does this without extra charge. GlobalFlix and ADToday only ship without cases and their shipping rates are very reasonable.
I suspect that the real reason is that someone over at Empire made a mistake with processing my order but they don't want to admit it.

By the way, it actually costs only $3.00 to send the order (USPS Global Priority) to me in Australia (if I lived in the U.S. it would have been sent for FREE, cases or no cases) but Empire charges me $10.50 to send it by USPS Global Priority (with cases), or $15.00 by Flat Rate International Air Mail (without cases).
So, no, it makes no logical sense at all. Any extra handling for shipping without cases is already amply covered by the $10.50 they charge for the cheapest shipping method.

It's about 3 $ to send DVDs with insurance within Germany! And from USA to Australia it's some more kilometres I think. ;-)
I'm not firm with the rates of USPS but what I have found for Global priority is 11 $, or not? (/ class="bbCodeBlock bbCodeQuote">
I see. You want the original packing (case) to be replaced by a different packing (envelope and some protection for the DVDs included) and it's no extra service. Well.
The only thing I could agree with you is, that there is problably a cheaper method to send the lighter envelope (without case) than the ones with the case. But I don't know about that.

Well... you might want to come to Australia and conduct your own research.
1.) I order in this way from several US adult DVD companies, including ADToday, ADEmpire and Excalibur -- the U.S. postage markings CLEARLY indicate in black and white that the Global Priority rate for 1-2 discs (no cases) is less than $3.00.
I also order from several independent e-sellers and they usually avoid the temptation to rip me off. This is my preferred method of buying, these days. The charge is usually between $2.00 and $5.00
2.) You are free to agree or disagree but, if you take a few minutes to think carefully about it, you would realize that they are using the SAME envelope + a piece of cardboard (monetary value = $0.01) and paying postage for a shipping item that weighs far far less... so it is elementary logic that it would cost less to not send the cases.
FYI, the standard USPS disc mailer costs only a few cents - it looks like an envelope, only it is designed to hold a couple of discs. It costs much less than the standard, heavy-duty, durable mailing bag that is used to ship DVDs with cases.

Enschuldigung, but you might wish to read my previous post a little more carefully because you have posted a link to the USPS webpage listing rate for Flat Rate International Postage (which is not the international mailing method I was referring to). That is the more expensive method that is inappropriate for posting 1-2 DVDs without cases - that method is better for mailing up to 20 titles without cases.
FYI, check out the following USPS listings for a small, light package:
/>(ie 'First Class Mail International' for packages weighing less than 3 ozs: $2.70)

Yes but that's not Global priority. So it does not include insurance which is probably worse for the seller. (At least in Germany it's the case that the seller is in charge that the customer really gets the goods.)
So, this is indeed a cheaper shipping method and AdultDVDToday does not offer it. Your choice. :-)
I'll probably choose Global priority anyways because I have good experience with these large white envelopes here. Not sure if the other envelopes also get through customs. Maybe I'll try sometime.

For the purposes of this discussion, you'll probably find that the small print states that the contract of sale was concluded in the USA and it further states that the seller is not responsible for the shipment once it has been posted, regardless of what the Bundesgesetzbuch might have to say about commercial transactions within the BRD.
Anyway, good luck to you. I don't have a problem with large white envelopes or any other kind of packaging - I just want to be charged a fair price, just like everyone else.

As far as I know, in any case insurance is an option that is chosen and paid for at the checkout stage (calculated per disc) and has nothing to do with the method of delivery by USPS, courier or otherwise.
You can opt to insure your shipment against loss or confiscation by customs regardless of whether you choose First Class or Flat Rate International.

Ok, here is the part that smells:
AdultDVDEmpire shipping & handling charges...
inside USA (standard shipping):
- 1 DVD (with case): FREE
- 1 DVD (no case): FREE
USA to Australia:
- 1 DVD (with case): $10.50
- 1 DVD (no case): $15.00
Cost of First Class Mail International (USA to Australia: package less than 3oz) = $2.70
Sucks, don't it?
