I wonder if among the "mainstream media", he's including....
...Hollywood elitist Erick Erickson
...that long-haired, pinko tree-hugger, George Will (
...unrepentant Clinton lover Charles Krauthammer
...and, uh, (whulps! )

I used to think Rove was a Machiavellian devil, but now we have bigger demons.
Maybe Rove is just jealous that Trump is Bannon's knee-puppet.

Never mind the fact that it was Sens. Moran and Lee (men) who provided the final death blow to Trumpcare. I mean, "facts"....really, now. Everyone's got 'em, like assholes. Amirite?

Of course the thing is, to conservatives there's "Good Media" (Fox, basically) and "Bad Media" (just about everything else, especially if it's from NYC. Like Fox. And Trump for that matter. But Fox and Trump are OK, because 'Murica!)

And people wonder why they didn't come forward sooner.
I can tell you pretty exactly what would have happened. Because I was a high school freshman aged 14 or 15 in 1971-1972. I was called to the principal's office one day and told that a junior high kid needed a math tutor and that the school had recommended me. I agreed to do it.
The boy was the son of one of the janitors at my high school. I did my tutoring in the kitchenette of their house, with just the mom and the boy there, the dad still at work. The kid was average, the mom was cloying. She popped in every few minutes to ask if we were sure we didn't want cookies or soda. Tick tock. Every few minutes, "Are you sure you don't want cookies? Maybe some peaches?" No wonder the kid couldn't think straight.
I only tutored there three or four times, and then the janitor put a note in my locker about how beautiful I was and how he wanted to get to know me better, etc. Something sappy that I showed my friends and we had a good laugh. Then another note. And maybe another.
Then another note asking me why I was ignoring him when he was so fond of me. This is from a guy who was about 40 years old, a lump of a guy, a janitor in one of those appealing blue janitor jumpsuits.
The note asking why I was ignoring him seemed sort of threatening to me, so I took the notes to the school administration. They said they would "have a word with him."
My tutoring job ended of course, but he continued on as janitor. The notes ended. Instead, whenever I walked down the hall, I risked running into the guy. He never spoke to me again, but he gave me wounded puppy eyes every time he saw me. Why oh why had I done this to him, who had adored me so?
So if Roy Moore's accusers had come forward back then, what would have happened would look exactly like a couple of mall shop owners asking security to keep the guy away from their shops.

Smith ended up with a new contract at Fox. Time magazine did a nice story on him. He's been there a long time, is well connected, and appears to have landed on his feet. Don't see him getting run out the door for harassing any of the female talent there as well.

Man, it's been a while since I've been here...
In that time, we've had the Trump Koncentration Kamp for Kids, and George Will, Steve Schmidt, and Max Boot all renounced Trumplicanism, urging people to vote Democrat.
Fox' Neil Cavuto, a formerly reliable business-GOPer took a jab at Trump's er, difficulties with the truth, back in May. Today, he dubbed the Prump Trutin love-fest, "disgusting"
Former CIA Director John Brennan went Black No Sugar and called it straight up Treason.
From the National Review: "The Helsinki Summit Will Further Derange American Politics"
From Fox News.com: "Putin Eats Trump's Lunch in Helsinki - This is No Way To Win Against Russia"
And on and on it goes..

Everybody run and get an abortion right now, while you still can.*
*Don't worry about it though, if you're married to. or the mistress of, a congressman. You have the money to fly to Sweden to get one, or your local doctor will perform one and will just note it on your chart as a D&C. Rules are for other people.

Sorry, but Paul Ryan doesn't want to become another Andrew McCabe and lose his full pension when he retires. Hence, anything he says or does before he leaves office is complete bullshit. BTW Paul, the beard only makes you more desireable to Lindsay Graham.

George Will obviously has more credibility if we're talking about political philosophy, but Donald Trump is the clearest proof yet that Gingrich's race to the bottom won the day.

From Columbus, OH:

***

Common Pleas Judge Julie M. Lynch, who has been on the bench for 14 years, filed the paperwork with the county Board of Elections on Wednesday. The document declares that she will seek election to her next term, which would begin in 2023, as a Democrat.

“I’ve been a registered Republican since I was 18, and 41 years later I do not recognize the Republican Party as it is today,” she said on Friday. “And I’m not the same person I was when I was 18.”

She said her decision was not based on voting trends that have made it increasingly difficult for Republican candidates in Franklin County to win countywide election.

“That ebbs and flows,” she said of voting trends. “When I started out, Republicans were dominant, but there were still Democratic judges. ... I’ve always had support from Democrats and Republicans and independents.”

Judicial elections are considered nonpartisan in Ohio, with no party affiliation shown on the general-election ballot, but partisan primaries are held for Common Pleas Court judges, and candidates are endorsed and supported by political parties.

In November, Democrats won six of seven races for Franklin County Common Pleas Court. In 2017, Democrats won three of the four contested Municipal Court races in the county.

Republican strategist Rick Tyler was shocked on Saturday by the enthusiastic reception that President Donald Trump received while giving his address at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland.

During a segment on MSNBC this afternoon, Tyler told host Alex Witt that Trump has changed CPAC and the Republican Party for the worse since he took power. “It’s interesting about CPAC,” he said. “It used to be the confab of conservatives who would get together once a year but it’s not CPAC anymore — it hasn’t been since 2016. It’s now Trump-pac and should be TPAC.
"The people there talk about being pro-tariffs, anti-justice, anti-law enforcement, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, pro-Russia, pro-autocrat. It’s unrecognizable what Donald Trump has done to the party and what he’s done to the conservative movement… It’s a shame,"
Tyler added.

When asked by Witt whether anything “can be done to resurrect the Republican Party as it was?,” Tyler said it’s beyond saving.

“Rest in peace,” he responded. “No, it’s over. The problem is that the Republican Party has no grounding governing philosophy anymore because they’ve signed on to all these things as I just mentioned that were antithetical to the conservative movement.”

“So it’s the Trump party,” Tyler concluded. “When Trump passes on, one way or the other, that party will no longer exist and the Republican party will have... it has no fundamental belief. You have to believe in something, and I don’t know what the Republican Party believes in or what its message is anymore.”
