So, we finally meet the Hilltop! But that's not my question.
In the comic book, Glenn is killed by Negan.
Do you think the TV show will follow the same line?
imho, I think so. Possibly in the season finale.
I have a follow-up question that I will ask after this week's episode.

I don't remember where I saw this, but I read somewhere that Negan will not appear on the tv series until the last episode of this season. Or at least, the group does not encounter him until then.

I think killing Glenn after the red herring death earlier this season seems unlikely. I'm more worried about them bumping off Abraham.

It definitely could be a possibility. I just read about Abraham's death and who caused it (in the comic book).

Tonight's episode features Rick's group joining forces with the Hilltop group in a battle against the Saviors.
Will Rick's group suffer any losses?
imho, no but I think that there will be a major injury. To whom, I'm not sure yet.
What say you?

Seems a bit early for death but that may be all the more reason for a shock death. I do think the series is too eager to knock off their characters.

A follow-up question - Too many "immortals"? It seems the list is growing every week!

Yeah kinda of refreshing to not have anyone die. Anyone from the cast I mean, obviously a lot of people died!
For a minute there I thought they may have made Negan a woman.
Wonder where this is going to go, will Carol take the role that Carl did in relation to Negan?

Yeah I forgot about that until they mentioned it on Talking Dead. A gender switch isn't something they seem likely to do on TWD anyway.

^ Actually, that's not entirely true. However, it doesn't really matter any more. To your point, it does not apply to Negan.

Re-watching last week's. Everytime I see that (Negan's) guy whistle Happy Birthday, I wonder why Happy Birthday. I hypothesize that it's because it finally was ruled to be out of copyright.
I'll never forget when some guy was on the Tonight Show and wished Johnny Carson a Happy Birthday and announced he was going to sing Happy Birthday. Johnny was just begging him not to, strenuously. Really out of character desperation. And the guy started singing it, Johnny was sort of frantic. I found out later that the fee for using the song was insanely high.

I prefer that she is showing more humanity. I know tough Carol was a fan favourite but her behaviour early on in Alexandria was borderline sociopathic. I do think she was putting on an act but there were moments of emotional truth for her even in the act.
Particularly happy to see the relationship with the big lug developing, hopefully they don't just turn him into zombiechow.

My brother hates the developed relationship between Michonne and Rick. He says that every woman that Rick gets involved with, ends up dying, which is true. Michonne is my brother's fav!
Any opinions?

WTF is Carol up to now?
Carol left town...
Daryl took off to find her...
Denise, the town's "doctor" is dead...
Rick's preparing for a fight...
And, Negan's group is a coming.
That, and I think they've been setting us up, all season, for Glenn to get bumped-off.
Do Carol and Daryl come riding to the rescue during the "Battle of Alexandria"?
How many unbearable moments and cliff-hangers await during the last two episodes of the season
Negan may be around for a while, given that has, supposedly, been cast as a series regular for Season 7.

I think Carol is doing exactly what she said in the letter--leaving. She's having a crisis of conscience. I hope she gets over it pronto. Even while Paula was holding Carol and Maggie hostage, Carol was having the crisis of conscience, but she still recognized the necessity of what she was doing.
It doesn't ring true to me that she would leave. She has had ample time to reflect on the idea of killing others to protect her friends, and without her, some cannibals would be alive and many of her friends would be dead. Without her, Paula would be alive, but Maggie would be dead. Now Negan's group is coming, and either Negan's group loses, or Judith and Carl die. I can't suspend disbelief on this one.
She also mentioned that as long as the group has food and a roof over their heads, someone would be trying to take from them. But even if they wander ragged in the woods, someone will try to take from them. Even pre-apocalypse, if you have anything, someone wants to take it. If you have virtually nothing, someone wants to take it. Even homeless people get their stuff stolen. The solution isn't to give up all security and leave the weak unprotected. There is no solution. People just want what you have.

So who is Negan going to kill in the final episode. I really doubt it will be Daryl but maybe that is why it will be him. Still, seems unlikely as he's Reedus is scheduled to appear on the Talking Dead and that would be a giveaway I think. Hard to say.

If I were to use the comic book as a guide, I'll say Glenn. This will probably drive Maggie to leave Alexandria and join up with the Hilltop and become one of its leaders.
My rationale for this comes when Gregory decided to negotiate with the group but only through Maggie. Kind of foreshadowing, if you will.

I know what you're saying but again that seems like it would be a mis-step as they already had the Glenn-dies red herring in the first part of this season. Killing him now would feel anti-climatic and predictable since it is in the comic. Notice how they switched up Abraham's death with Denise's.
What is up with Maggie though? If she's only two months along it is too early for a miscarriage to be a zombie baby.

Apparently people are losing their shit over the cliff hanger. Twatter and the net is a place of near constant outrage over the most banal nonsense. You'd think popular culture was the last and only battleground of importance the way people go on and on about shit.

Unless the guys wearing armor riding horses, that Morgan made friends with, turn out to be able and willing to help Rick's group, I don't see how they get out of this New World Order they've gotten themselves into.
Also, I'm led to believe that Jesus is going to have a substantial part in Season 7.
Perhaps, he organizes a few settlements to help Rick's group and those remaining in Alexandria?
Just as Negan's show of force and numbers against Rick's group was overwhelming, multiple communities united could do even more of the same to Negan and his group.
I suspect that Negan's group, the Saviors, are likely hated by everyone else that has been paying them tribute and being pushed around.
Hopefully, there are other options at play than what it seems we were left with.

Dudes in the armor are important no doubt. I wonder how'll they'll deal with a detail from the comics for one of the upcoming characters that is very, very comic booky. I hope they do something with it more realistic instead of just jettisoning it entirely.

Not me. I never saw it.
I never saw the last episode of Mad Men, either.
You can only stream stuff on amc.com if you log in, and for that you need to have a cable or satellite, etc., provider on their list. Shaw Cable, in Canada--not on the list. Probably nothing in Canada. So. Blah.
I'm still hoping to be able to see it before they do a marathon before the fall season.

Going to miss Fear the Walking Dead, too. Hoping to have something together soon to be able to catch up online. More grrrr. Taxes. Fuckity.

Goldstein has decided that it had to be Eugene.
I'll pontificate in detail at a later time (maybe after Pieps has actually seen the season finale).

I'm starting to lean towards Eugene as well. Hard to know if the 'signs' in the episode are just red herrings though.

I'm considering what we see/don't see in the background of the final scene when Negan does his thing.
And, yes, there were signs (but that could be said for half the possible victims).
