Very happy to land tickets for The Devin Townsend Project playing at ULU on November 11th 2011 (11/11/11!).
It's an added date, and this one will be a full performance of 'Addicted', which is cool as it's an excellent album. Highly pleased as tickets of his sell out very quickly, as he plays small venues and doesn't come to these shores all that much.
Deftones next week...

I have a pair for the September 10th Rock the Bells hip-hop/rap festival in Boston(actual location is Mansfield).
I'm excited to see Nas, Mobb Deep, Blackstar, Cypress Hill and Wu-Tang solo members.

Jealous! I saw him last year and it was great. Should be seeing him again in February. I hope he plays more than just Addicted, his catalogue is huge.

I saw Wu-Tang a week or so ago. It was a fun night out. Their Rock The Bells set was better.

Yeah, I too hope he plays more than just that album. I know he's doing a different album performance from his quartet of recent releases on different nights, but as for example, 'Deconstruction' is longer than 'Addicted', I'd hope he'd bulk up the setlist to get even value. I'm sure he will, and it'd be great. I have faith in the dude.

Absolute fuck-load of fun... Enjoyed them more than when I saw them last in 2003 (8 years ago, dammit!)
Support came from Pulled Apart by Horses (no doubt named in part, after the Thom Yorke song with a very similar name), who were okay... And to my pleasant surprise, as I saw nothing advertising them, Animals As Leaders who were superb. Technically amazing.

Wow...I drove 3 hours to Mansfield for the Rock the Bells Boston show and found out there pushed it back to the 24th. They only send out email alerts on this rescheduled date on Thursday, 2 f--king days ago.
I'd be OK with it if they send it out a week or so ahead but 2 days? I kinda want a refund now.

Was predictably superb. Pity it was the only night (of 4) I could attend.
Still, made up for it by booking to see him next year (Oct. 27 2012) at the Camden Roundhouse for his "Retinal Circus" show, which sounds utterly amazing.

The Pixies concert I went to one Friday was unreal. Such a great show and I was 6th row.
Weds. I go see The Cure at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, 3rd row center.

I saw The Cure do their three first albums in full earlier this year. It was fantastic. Filmed for a DVD too, should be out next year some time I guess. They play for soooo long, it's the best!

Wish I could go to that as well! I'm seeing him again in Feb. I haven't worked out how many times just yet because the festival timetables haven't been announced but it'll be at least once.

Some were dirt cheap, some I got free tickets too, and others were worth the price. I don't go out to many social events like seeing movies or going to bars so this is where my money goes.

^Red Fang were superb when I saw them that night. Oddly, they had by far and away the best sound quality I've ever heard at the Brixton Academy for their set; crystal clear. Usually that venue has terrible sound quality, they must have talented live sound mixers as part of their road crew.
I've booked to see Dillinger again, when they return to London in April.

I'm seeing Mastodon tonight. Yesterday was Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, The Used, and Enter Shikari. Tomorrow Enter Shikari again. Next day Dillinger Escape Plan and System of a Down. Then another festival day at the end of the week. Hectic schedule.

Latest one was Jonathan Richman, only the fourth time I see him in concert since 1990, great concert but a bit too short at around an hour...

I know, he features in one of my best concert memories so far though : conducting the orchestra while Martha Argerich played the piano, Mozart's 20th piano concerto.

Funny I think I saw her in concert about 5 or 6 times in the last 20 years or so. No cancellation.
I didn't know you loved piano music so much.

I caught Fear Factory doing Demanufacture in full. That album is a classic and one of my personal favourites so it was an oustanding show.
