Is anyone else excited that this great show is coming to DVD? The date is 11/23...

I'm all over the "giftset".

I will be getting the two sets of just the shows on DVD, the giftset is too much money and I don't care about the salt shakers from Monk's diner or whatever else is included- I just want the shows and whatever extras Jerry could scrape together.

It's my favorite sitcom, but I've seen them all so many times.

The season that they spend most every episode developing their sitcom is so great. And then many times I miss the first few minutes or even the first half of an episode while flipping. It will be nice to see DVD quality episodes - though I'll be just renting.

I've never seen it , but it's on the local Amazon Prime and I watched the first season there , I don't have the very same nostalgic feeling I'd have with some sit-coms I've seen in my youth , so I found it a bit outdated, too many other shows have taken iinspiration and deas from there , so in my case it seems kinda dejà vu. It has still his moments though .
Why outdated well, for example the side stories are too brief , they meet someone this someone disappears , but it shouws up again three episodes later just to end their story , sometimes didn't even appear the first time, just when they need to finish a relationship they just talked about , basically just mentioning a name an episode before .
There are twelve more episodes in season two, I think I'll watch them too

I disagree that the show was about nothing. It was basically a show about seeing/dating quirky people. The premise of most episodes is that one of the characters is seeing someone who has a certain quirk (close talker, soft talker, face painter, ...) and that becomes the basis of the episode.

[This created a contradiction. George was always going on about doing things to attract the opposite sex, but every second episode he was with a different woman (which used to upset some female viewers).]
